Reading Logs make a difference. Reading at least three times a week outside of school helps all readers improve. They are designed to fit each individualized student reading level. Finding literature at each individual student’s level is the key to success. Reading at their independent level will allow them to use the active reading strategies to become more insightful readers as well as improving their personal fluency level. It is designed so that the only parent responsibility is to sign each reading activity varifying that your child read for 30 minutes. If 30 minutes is too long provide two 15 minute reading sessions per reading activity.
Reading logs come home in Friday Folders and are always due the following Thursday.
