Hi Kali,
Thank you for recommending Water for Elephants. I read the book after you recommended it. It’s a touching story that keeps one turning the pages. I agree with you…I highly recommend it.

I’ve just finished reading Sarah Gruen’s Water for Elephants. It’s about an old man who used to work for the circus when he was younger, but now he is 90 years old (or 93….he can’t remember) and lives in a nursing home. You may think it sounds boring but it’s not, because throughout the book, the old man, named Jacob Jankowski, (that doesn’t sound Polish does it…..) has flash backs of when he was younger and what it was really like to travel with “the big top”. It’s a great book that leaves you wanting more after every turn of the page.
I read The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. It’s a mature horror fantasy book that takes you to different worlds and times, just by opening a door. It’s the type of book that you get so into, you feel like you’re standing in the book, not looking down on it.
