Reading Log Beginning the week of October 19, your child will be bringing home a book bag each night. Inside that book bag will be a book that he/she is currently reading in class. It needs to come back to school each morning.
We are working hard to build reading stamina, knowing that the best way to become a good reader is to spend time reading. Each student has a goal for the number of minutes he/she should be reading at home each night. Please assist your child by helping to fill in the reading log each night (attached) and by talking with him/her about the book that he/she is currently reading. The reading log will be checked weekly. Students not doing their reading at home may have to do it during recess and/or Friday Club.
Thank you so much for your cooperation in this very important matter. Together, we can help our children achieve to their greatest potential.
