Art Club 2010 -2011

ART CLUB is an after school enrichment activity that focuses on a variety of creative experiences for the creative student.  Art Club is open to all students. Returning 7th and 8th graders need to get signed up as soon as possible to secure your spot. New 6th graders that love art are welcome. The new art club session will begin October 21 2010 with our annual pumpkin painting. The cost is a $5.00. Make checks payable to FMS Art Club Permission slips will be avalaible in September.  Art Club is limited to the first 30 students.

2010-2011 Planned Activities & Events

Pumpkin Painting- Jewlery Making, Banners, Doll Making,  Foam Sculpture Carving, Decorative Boxes, Canvas Painting, Masks, Sketchbooks & Drawing.

Art Club Fundraising in 2009-2010

Our ceramic workshops were a huge success! It was great to see so many returning faces and new faces painting pottery. What a fun and unique way to raise money for a program. What people don’t know is Mrs. Jacobson volunteers to run Art Club and there is no money given by the school for the program. The students work hard each to raise money to be able to do their projects.  Great work to all the Art Club members you donated their time to help out each night. The Art Club kids did a fantastic job getting people their orders, assisting them with colors or glaze, keeping their supplies stocked and clean, loading and unloading the kiln and helping glaze. The money raised went to purchase supplies for 2010 program.
