So far this book has been very interesting to me. I am really enjoying it. It is an easy read and I want to keep reading once I start. I read 7 chapters in one sitting a while ago! I wonder what will happen next with Pavel, the waiter. I left off with him dropping the wine bottle at the dinner table and it said that Bruno’s dad got extremely angry. I haven’t read what he did yet though, and I am kind of scared to read about it, I guess I have to. I think that Bruno is a very smart young boy but I feel like he is younger than nine. The way it describes him and what he thinks makes him sound like seven or maybe eight years old. I wonder why that is?

So far I really like this book. It is a very easy to read and I don’t think I will have trouble finishing this book in the time we have allowed. Bruno is a very interesting young boy. He really badly wants to know what the Out-With camp is for that sits right next door to his house. I think he is just getting adjusted to the new house they moved to. My favorite character so far is Pavel. He seems like a very mysterious guy that doesn’t fit in around the house. I had a question: Why did Bruno’s mother say, “if the commandant asks, we’ll say I cleaned Bruno up.” I want to know why she says this. Anyone care to share their comments? I really enjoy this book. :]

I am really enjoying this book. It is very exciting and I just want to keep reading it to see what happens. I find Bruno very funny and the way he describes things makes me laugh. He doesn’t seem to know what is going on in the world and that other people are worse off than he is. Bruno and his sister, Gretel, don’t seem to understand why the people on the other side of the fence are so dirty and look like they haven’t bathed for weeks. I was very confused about The Fury, but I think he is Adolph Hitler, because he was the leader of the Holocaust. While I was reading, I was wondering, ‘Why was it so important to impress The Fury?’ It seems like everything revolved around him, and I can’t wait to find out why.

I have been reading this book for awhile now and I really enjoy it. It is about a topic that I am highly interested in, which makes it easy for me to read. The book is very good but it isn’t very challenging. I thought that the book would be a little more challenging, and I thought it would be longer. I am not fully done with the book yet, but I don’t think I will have a problem finishing it soon. I think that Bruno is a smart, young boy. He is smarter than the other characters give him credit for. I thought it was kind of odd how upset he was that they were moving. I wonder how he will continue to take the change. Will he soon become used to it and begin to like it, or will he always hate living there? It must be hard for him to not live near anyone else. To answer Courtney’s question I believe that maybe if the commandant knew who cleaned Bruno up, Pavel would be in a load of trouble. He is part of the staff for the house and is probably not supposed to talk to or touch the family.

Well, I am finished with the book. It was really good. I enjoyed reading it because I felt like I could really get the meaning. I think the author was trying to make a point about how awful it was to live during Hitler’s rule. He showed us this through the eyes of Bruno. Bruno is so naive and curious. I do have a few questions that I have been pondering over. Why does Bruno seems as if he is a lot younger than what he is? I thought he seemed younger because I remember when my brother was nine years old and he was a lot less naive than Bruno is. Why is that? My other question is about the end of the book and I know not everyone is finished so I won’t post that right now. I’ll post more in a few days.
