Hey everybody! I’m reading The Shack and I honestly don’t know what to think of it so far. It’s interesting but it’s really difficult to understand. Some of the conversations that Mack, the main character, has with God are so over my head that it just doesn’t make sense. The beginning of the book would have to be my favorite part so far. It was about Mack’s family vacation. The story got kind of sad because Missy, Mack’s daughter, got kidnapped. The last chapter I read, chapter 11, was really good. It was when Mack went into a cave and had a long conversation with a lady in there. (I don’t know who she is yet.) Anyway, I hope the book gets easier to read now that I am almost done with it. Ü

Hello…I just got done reading The Shack, and overall, it was just okay for me. I didn’t really love it but I didn’t really hate it either. There were a lot more non-confusing chapters towards the end of the book than there were confusing. (Which is a good thing because the first half of the book was really hard for me to read.) I would have to say that a few chapters were just a bit over the top for me. Over the top as in totally unrealistic. My seminar group is really good and I can tell that we are going to work great together. If I had the chance to do it again, I probably wouldn’t have read The Shack, but that’s what I’m stuck with, so I’m going to make the most out of it. Ü

Hey! I’m also reading The Shack, just like Jennie. I agree with her about how the beginning was amazing. It was so intense and full of details. That would by far be my favorite part! All I wanted to do was finish the book and see what happened in the ending. Just like Jennie, I’m not so sure about the middle yet. I don’t really understand it quite yet, and get lost throughout the conversations between Mack and Papa, Jesus, and Sarayu. I really just wanted to finish the book. To me it seems like Mack was gone a lot longer than a weekend, and wouldn’t his family want to know where he was? Just some of the details in the book are pretty confusing to me.

Hi, I’m Kaylee. I’m reading The Shack and I finnished my book before I found out how to do the blogs on yours. I’m just going to write on what I thought of the book. I thought that this book was pretty good. I liked the beginning better because it had more suspense. I really didn’t like the other part as much because it didn’t really have a very solid meaning. It had a lot of life lessons, but I would have liked it to focas on one more than the others. Overall I really enjoyed this book and got a lot out of it.

I finished reading The Shack about a week ago and it did get easier to read the farther I got into the book. Some of the events in the book were so unbelievable that it made the book hard to read. I think our seminar group will do very well because we are all hard workers and we all help each other understand the book better. I hope that we can all work well together, though, which I’m sure we will. If I had a chance to do it over again, I probably wouldn’t have chosen The Shack, but since I did, that’s the book that I’m going to do, and I have to make the most of it! Ü Good luck to everyone on their Seminar projects!

Hi everyone, I also read The Shack. I loved how this book was so unique. This is the first book I have ever heard about that talks about a man meeting God. The conversations Mack had with God seemed so real, like I was there with them. I think my favorite part was when Mack got the chance to walk on water with Jesus. That is something I have been wanting to do my whole life. Mack was very lucky. I also liked the garden Sarayu was planting. Mack kept saying this garden is beautiful, but it is a mess. Then, in the end, the garden ended up being Mack’s soul.
