About Me
Hi, everyone. I have been teaching at Fruitport since 2001. I started at the middle school but I had never pictured myself teaching students that young, so when a placement opened up at the high school, I grabbed it. I think I’m realizing more every year that Fruitport HS is a great place to be. I am currently working on a Masters in English from GVSU. Before teaching, I went to U of M and got my degree in English Language and Literature. My husband and I both went to Reeths-Puffer, but don’t hold it against me. My ties to there are becoming fewer and fewer. My husband Mike teaches science at Mona Shores Middle School. We love to travel, hike, and spend time with our families.
I love reading and feel that it is one of the most important things a person can do to better him/herself. Also, I wish everyone would choose to work hard and go to college. The country would be an immensely better place if everyone were educated.
