About Me
My Education Background
I have lived in the Muskegon area most of my life. I attended Muskegon Public Schools throughout my elementary, middle, and high school years. After graduation, I attended Grand Valley State University. My first two years I was on their swim team as a diver. I decided to go into the education field but was unsure what area to pursue. I decided that I would like to teach the hearing impaired, emotionally impaired, or elementary age kids. I did a lot of my preteaching in the Grand Rapids and Muskegon areas. My first job was in Hesperia at the middle school. During this time I lived in Fremont for one year and in Hesperia for one year then my husband and I moved back to Muskegon. I taught there for five years and then was hired by Fruitport. My first year with Fruitport, I was in the middle school. I started my graduate work in early childhood education and then transfered to Shettler to teach 2nd grade. This will be my fourth year teaching kindergarten. I am so happy to work at such a wonderful school.
My Family-
My husband’s name is Jason and we have three beautiful children. Aaron is going into second grade, Braden will be starting kindergarten 
, and Kendall will be two in December. We live in Muskegon and enjoy living close to Lake Michigan.
