About Me
Welcome to the web log of Mr. Jay Stebelton. I have been a teacher for Fruitport Community Schools since the Fall of 2000. I have taught middle school Earth Science and currently teach high school Biology and Physical Science. Along with teaching, I also coach Junior Varsity Football for the Trojans.
Like many Fruitport School Employees, I am a proud alumni of the Fruitport School District. After graduating from Fruitport in 1993 I left home to attend college at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, better known as UNLV. I spent one year as a Hotel Administration Major (HOA) and then decided that I wanted to go into education. I spent the next 5 years in Las Vegas while earning my degree in Secondary Education. During this time I coached Freshman Football and Varsity Track at Silverado High School in Las Vegas. I still have many friends in Las Vegas and I try to visit several times a year.
In the Fall of 2005, I earned my Master degree in Educational Administration from Western Michigan University.
I currently reside in Fruitport Township. On my spare time I enjoy watching college football and college basketball, running, working out, skiing, taking vacations out west, and being around my friends and family.

It was fun growing up watching you and the “Blood D” in the early 90s! Tracy and Sandi Musil are my sisters, and I remember you as a DB on the Trojan Defense. I’ll always remember the comeback victory vs. Flint Powers - talk about a team with heart! You guys persevered, and it seemed like as the game grew, so did your determination. It was awesome! Great Memories!

Thanks for the comment Joe. Tell your sisters I said hi. I haven’t seen them for a while. The Flint Powers game was a sweet game. So was the Homecoming game vs. OV that year.

Hey Jay–Just stumbled onto this and laughed about all the basketball blogging! Hope you’re doing well. You might remember me as the little sis of Jeff Fisher, but I’m all grown up now. I’ve been teaching English down in St. Louis for almost 7 years and my husband and I now have a 7 month old daughter. Glad to see you’re carrying on the Trojan tradition! I sometimes think about coming back, but then I remember all that snow! Good luck as you finish the year.

Hey, nice site! I was thinking about Fruitport the other day, so I got online to see who was still working there and found your site. I think of you every time I open my car door in the winter and snow falls on my seat!
