Lots of people have been asking me, “Where are you this year?” Well, I am no longer teaching 3rd grade in Room 20. My new job has me working with students as a Reading Interventionist in our Title One program. I now have an office in Room 1A, near the first and second grade classrooms. Another big change for me is that I am no longer working full-time. You can find me in Room 1A on Mondays, Wednedays, Fridays, and Thursday mornings. Stop by and say hello!

Our party will be held on Thursday, February 12th at 2:00pm. We will eat treats, pass out and read our valentines, find out who our contest winners are, and make a fun craft. Feel free to join us if you are able to.

The week of November 3-7 will be our district Safety Week. We will have many drills including a fire drill, tornado drill, shelter in place (lockdown), and an evacuation drill. The evacuation drill will take place on Friday, November 7 (weather permitting).

Our Christmas Party will begin at 2:00pm. If there is a snow day, the party will be held on the following day, Friday, December 19.

Fall conferences will be the week of October 6th-10th. Students will have full days of school Monday through Thursday and no school on Friday. Conferences will be Wednesday and Thursday from 5-8pm and Friday from 9am-12pm. I encourage students to attend conferences with their parents.

The 3rd annual Aaron’s Walk will be held on Sunday, October 19th at 1:00pm. The walk is in honor of our good friend and classmate and Aaron Biros. We hope to raise lots of money for the A-T Children’s Project.
