That’s right, we’re becoming news reporters. To understand how the newspaper is created, we must read and study the layout of a newspaper. To do this, we report our findings and if we do a good job, we will be assigned a portion of the paper. Later we will collect our information and report it in a news article. It will be edited, printed and distributed. We’re very excited.

We are doing so many fun things. We are learning many ways to tackle multiplication, how to write theme and plot, the three levels and branches of government and how to measure density in solids and liquids. Experiments are our favorites. We get to take care of pets and even use our new smart technology. Everyone likes using the board pen. It makes the computer shinning on the board do what you want. We can even write out our answers without using a marker.
In computers we’ve learned how to use our flash drives properly, how to insert clip art, make Word Art, and bring in a pic from the internet. We are learning how to create a document so when our first stories are ready, we can type them with titles and correct spelling errors. What do you think about school so far?
What fabulous presentations. We heard so much about many states and our experts were poised and knowledgable. They shared art including informative posters, food and architecture. Check out your child’s picture. Although a couple are still not up due to a bit of a problem with the camera and/or their presentations issue (usually technology), they will be when the error is fixed. What fine presenters and now Mrs. Six has a lot of work to do.
Please keep in mind that report grades will take a long time to come back since they take from 45 min. to an hour to grade per report (and Mrs. Six is planning her daughter’s wedding onlly 3 weeks away now!) so she’s really having to put the nose to the grindstone. Thanks presenters. We enjoyed hearing all about your state/famous person.
